Edge Of The World Kayak Team:
Edge of the World has an elite shop sponsored kayak team. Team Edge of the World Kayak is: Jud (The Stud) Kieser, (Big) Luke Rieker and (KB) Kevin Benhart Brown. These are three of the most passionate paddlers there are. These guys paddle over 300 days per year. Although they love to travel, over half those 300 days are spent paddling in snow and ice right here in Missoula, Montana. All three team members compete on the U.S. Freestyle Kayak Circuit and can often be found on the podium. Although these guys are competitors to them the sport is all about having fun. Check out some of the team photos and you can see it for your self. When it’s cold and most people hang their gear up –these dudes are just getting warmed up! Our team simply just loves to paddle, it doesn’t matter what it is big waves, holes, little waves, creeks, waterfalls whatever, these guys love to huck. Joe Rizzo AKA "The Rookie"
Growing up skating and snowboarding in Great Falls, I would see a few
kayakers below the dam during high water. After transferring to the
University of Montana, I quickly bought all the gear and took a class
through the U. Falling in love, boofing took over every waking moment in
the Montana summertime. Although I’ve only been paddling for almost two
years, through training, experience, dedication, and Missoula's Kayaking
community, I'm becoming a well rounded paddler. Being able to be a part
of EOW and the skate/snow influence we bring to the sport has and
continues to be a driving force. Having a few difficulties with shoulder
dislocation this summer, I have the goal of returning by July and Thursday
Night Throwdowns!
