To our surprise we got a call from Tim Eddy saying they were in town and wanted us to show them around Snowbowl. Well, we were more than thrilled to have them poke around our hill and spend the day party boarding with Tim Eddy, Ben Lynch and Tucker Andrews. First off, we want to thank everyone who came out to our Snow-Mazing weekend and either competed, shoveled, helped or just plain hung out; you all rule! Meet EOW team rider James Fleege.

Here is a little update from our boy James Fleege! Hope y’all are shredding and getting ready for a great Holiday!

I’m from Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The land of hot dogs, beefs and sky scraper. Over the past two years I have lived Montana, Salt Lake City and Mt. Hood, Oregon. Always on a constant search for adventures involving fly-fishing, mountain biking hunting and anything that gets my heart beating. Right out of college, I moved to Oregon to work for Burton Snowboards: The Chill Foundation, a non-for-profit section aims to bring under-privileged youth and teach them how to build self esteem through boardsports. The following year, I got promoted to run the Chill program in Salt Lake City, Utah and got the chance to work the Burton Mountain festival in Keystone, Park City, and Northstar with Mountain Sports international. I have visited the US Open two times and can’t wait to get back this year.

Currently, I am the Event Director for Treasure State ShredFest; the first Prey for snow party/rail jam festival in Montana every season. I started off the 2012/2013 snow season with a first place finish at the I Ride For Tanner Rail Jam in Missoula,Montana and 3rd place for Rome Pre-jIb at Brighton Resort, UT. Last Summer, I worked at Windell’s Camp on Mt. Hood, as a counslor and got a shot in TransWorld Snowboarding Magazine. Be it in the backcountry , to hitting urban features, I ride everything. You can see me riding at Brighton Resort in Utah for most of the winter and Lost Trail Powder Mt. in Montana.

My future plans include filming a web series, working for The Chill Foundation and of course, snowboarding everyday I can! My Sponsors and brands I am an ambassador for : Burton, Anon, Edge of the World, and Bern Helmets. Been on the Edge of the World team for five years and counting! Those guys rock!
