Our season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, and we raft Monday - Saturday, as the dam doesn't release on Sunday! After Labor Day, we take trips on saturdays only through September.

We're located in downtown Banner Elk on NC HWY 184. Only 17 miles from Boone.

Please note that if you put our address into your GPS or google maps, it puts you about a mile before our shop. Just keep going until you get to downtown Banner Elk and you can't miss us.

April and I were driving home from a ski weekend at Beech Mountain, when we had this crazy idea to start Edge of the World. The next day we both resigned our teaching jobs, withdrew our retirement, sold our house, and a car, and never looked back. Since then we've passed down the business to our youngest son and his awesome family. Our amazing staff and customers make our lifestyle incredible. We are so blessed. Thank you!

You have until 1 pm the day before your trip to cancel your reservation and get a full refund. If you don't call by 1 pm the day before, you will get charged in full with no refund. The trips do go rain or shine and besides, you're going to get wet anyway.
