Whitewater Fun for the Family
Join us for a day of fun on the beautiful Watauga River! This is the premier family whitewater rafting trip in thE southeast. Suitable for ages 4 and up. There are 5 class 1′s, 3 class 2′s and 1 class 3 rapid called the Anaconda (which you get to run as many times as you like). The Watauga is dam controlled so the water level is always good, it flows fast with lots of big splashing waves. Included is all the equipment, transportation, guides, instruction, home cooked lunch, waterproof sweater, ponchos, and jokes………..Ask about our group rates!
Rock Climbing in the Beautiful Wilson Creek Wilderness
Learn the basics of climbing and rappelling. 3 phases of instruction emphasize safety, builds self confidence and respect for the mountain. Suitable for anyone 11 or older…..and you don’t need experience. Trip meets at 9:30 and returns around 5:00. The cost is only $125 and it includes all the equipment, a home cooked lunch and guides. Rock climbing and rappelling is known to be one of the safest sports that you can do. (Edge of the World operates in the Pisgah National Forest under US Forest Service Permit # GRA442805
